The guiding force behind FORHD is Mr. Revannasiddaiah a former Police Chief and Head of Prison Administration. As police chief of Bangalore City, he established toll free helpline for children in distress called 'Makkala Sahaya Vani', the first of it's kind in India. And also facilitated 'Vanitha Sahaya Vani' a toll free helpline for women. During his tenure as a prison administrator he instituted a series of initiatives to help deserving prisoners and juvenile delinquents, through legal aid and other rehabilitation measures. The huge amount of organization and resources needed to achieve the task prompted him to enlist the support of motivated individuals and organizations in this mission. The Foundation for Restoring Human Dignity (FORHD) was the outcome of a humanitarian impulse to offer structured avenues of help for those in need.
